Sooo last night Bri, Duke and I were chattin it up on the phone while we watched Daddy’s Girls, blogged and surfed the internet. While low and behold we come across this track called Bad Girl, by none other than Chris Brown and Rihanna (to listen jus click on the collegeradio.com link to the right . . . A what up to my boy Justin) Now let me start off by sayin . . . BY no means am I a hater of any sort, I give props where props are due. . . With all that said, THAT is the reason why I feel some type of way about the beloved Rihanna. First off, the track starts off with her doing some sort of scream-singing. Then she goes on to say, “All them girls be jockin my fad, Why they be bitin my swag?” HOLD ON LIL WHOADIE. . . You can not talk about people jockin your “Swag” when it is not your own. I understand once a good girls gone bad, she’s gone forever. . . But not too long ago Rihanna was a Beyonce-esque island girl wit a head full of light brown weave, wearing clothes straight out the mall like the rest of us.



Yes 2008 was the year of the HAIRCUT, and everyone went cuckoo for cocoa puffs over Rihanna’s new do. BUT did we not forget about the ORIGINAL Don Da Da???? KELIS JONES….





Yes I said it. Rihanna (or rather her promotion and stylist team) straight up jacked Kelis’ whole ish. Lets not forget who cut off their locks back in 06’ when chicks was still weavin it out. Now everybody taken out the sew-ins and becoming a little more self reliant on the hair that God gave them. Not only did Rhi Rhi jock Kelis’ do, but the broad stole her innovative, rocker and sometimes quirky but fresh to death wardrobe as well.



Tisk Tisk! Don’t get me wrong like I said, I give props where props are due, and Rihanna is undoubtedly one of the freshest chicks rockin the scene right now. I jus feel her whole image is not her own, and was stolen and repackaged to make her the star she is today. Kelis is a certified style icon. With that said, LONG LIVE KELIS!!!!!!!
