When cadillac Records came out, ofcourse I went to see it. Ima Beyonce fanatic. But really and truly, lol, I loved that movie. In a time where black musicians run sh*t all ova the world...Sumtymes we forget we didnt always have it that easy. In this movie I was introduced to Chucke Berry. I think I fell in love with his character becuase it was played by my honey Mos Def. ugggghhh aint nuttin like a brookklyyn boy!ow. But anywhoooo... Chuck Berry was strange to everyone else. We all kno Black people invent everything, as well as Rock n Roll, but Chuck had a diff take on it, and was often misunderstood....which brings me to my point! Yesterday as I was roaming the web, I came across this article on complex.com, that attempted to depict Charles Hamilton as a failure. Smh. Im not a die hard fan like that, but the dude got skills. Reeeespppeect... its still sad to me that people cant accept others for being different its 2009 people. Everything is not for everyone to understand, but you should respect and keep an open mind. yes, that video where that girl punched the mess outta him, was hellah funny. But y knock him. Atleast he didnt punch the broad back, continuing to beat on her and bite her...eheeemmm like some other artists. smh. Im jus sayin give the dude a break, and respect him for his talent. Everyone is weird and has their crazy moments at times. The hottest musicians are the craziest ( i.e. Micheal Jackson, Kanye, Madonna, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Chris Brown...) ghet my point?? Props to u Charles Hamilton. keep doin U, and the rest will follow!
